| FLABEG Automotive U.S. Corporation Automotive Technical Glass FLABEG Automotive relocated the exterior mirror fabrication business from Clifton, New Jersey to Brackenridge, Pennsylvania in 1996. During 1998 and in response to existing market demand in the U.S., the Brackenridge facility vertically integrated glass operations to include both bending and coating processes thereby providing internally produced sheet stock and calottes for exterior mirror fabrication. Also, to support the aforementioned bending and coating operation, we expanded the Brackenridge facility by 30,000 SQ FT. As a Tier 2 supplier the Brackenridge facility with 75 workers produce 18.0 million mirrors annually. This equals 65% of the car and light truck production in the U.S. We supply exterior mirrors to the Detroit “Big 3” as well as Asian and European OEMs with domestic production facilities. Recently Brackenridge created significant cost savings to OEMs as well as to Tier 1 customer base by improving mirror yields per calotte. This opportunity will dramatically improve FLABEG’s market position in the U.S. |
