Under the brand name FLABEG ARTControl®, FLABEG develops and produces special glass for picture frames used in the art trade as well as in galleries or museums. The glass, which is finished using thin-film technology, shows off paintings and photographs faithfully in all their true glory. There is no impairment of colors or overall effect, yet perfect protection is guaranteed. An effective solution, therefore, that helps preserve the value of highly valuable artworks – for decades. FLABEG generates the anti-reflection coatings using Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) processes that result in outstanding product features, in terms of reflection, color stability, UV protection, and shatter resistance. FLABEG ARTControl® Persuasive advantages at a glance: Minimal reflection FLABEG ARTControl® is optical-interference anti-reflective glass. It reduces the reflections caused by light that you find with normal picture glass to no more than 0.6 %, which means that you can hardly see them. As a result, the work of art is shown to full advantage with zero distortion. UV protection UV light, in particular, can damage works of art quite considerably. FLABEG ARTControl® affords reliable protection here, too: the anti-reflection coatings applied using the magnetron sputtering method block up to 92 % of harmful UV radiation, or even almost 100% in the case of laminated safety glass. Transparency FLABEG ARTControl® anti-reflective glass features outstanding light transmission in excess of 97.5 % or 98 %, depending on the product design. The observer has the impression that there is no glass there. Safety In terms of safety, too, FLABEG ARTControl® makes no compromises.
