| Etched glass This glass is used mainly in truck dashboards. OEMs value the design freedom that the glass allows. Individual customers’ wishes, for example, can always be met. There is also the choice of single-sided or double-sided etching. It is not just the driver's safety but also that of the goods he is transporting that is increased by the reduction in reflection interference. The glass is also scratchproof, resistant to chemicals, friction-resistant, and therefore constantly “like new”. A further advantage for the customer – it can be toughened chemically and thermally. This is made possible thanks to a special acid dipping process, which deliberately creates a rough surface on float glass resulting in reduced light reflection and glare. The intensity of the etch produces different degrees of reduced reflection. Single-sided or double-sided etching is also a determining factor. Hydrophobic coating We offer the option of hydrophobic coating for our RControl glass. The advantage is that the optically-coated anti-reflective glass is especially easy to clean. |
