| SAND BLASTING This technique allows glass surfaces to be roughened mechanically. Despite this, very little incident light is absorbed; instead the light is diffused to great effect. The glass appears milky and no longer transparent. This technique is used mainly for lamp shades, functional applications with technical glass or opaque windows. |
